This is a rug that I made for my mother. One of her favorite people, my great grandma Norma Jean, died in 2022.
When I went to Michigan for her funeral I collected her sheets, pillowcases, and night gowns.
This rug is braided from the things she held closest to her body, and will continue to be something my mother can keep close to hers.
